Allan “Shaggy” Barclay was born in 1962 and raised in Shullsburg, WI. During high school. He

joined the US Army, serving as a Combat Engineer from 1979 – 1985. As a Combat Engineer,

Allan “Shaggy” Barclay was born in 1962 and raised in Shullsburg, WI. During high school. He

joined the US Army, serving as a Combat Engineer from 1979 – 1985. As a Combat Engineer,

he operated heavy equipment and large trucks. While still in the Army Reserves, he owned an

entertainment merchandise company. In 1983 he went on tour with the band Head East and

would assist the tour bus driver on occasion. This quickly led to full-time entertainer bus

employment at Stagecoach VIP. Shaggy was employed at Nitetrain Coach from 1986 – 1993. He

worked at Florida Coach for 2 years, and then in 1995 he purchased 3 buses. He operated his

company as Shagnasty Leasing, subleasing to Four Seasons. He sold his assets and went to work

for Senators Coaches in 1999, remaining there until 2005. Since that time, he floats between

Celebrity Coaches, Dreamliner, and Allied Coach.

Some of the many artists Shaggy has driven are Desert Rose Band, Spinal Tap, the Eagles, Elton

John, Metallica, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Head East, Foghat, Molly Hatchet,

Rolling Stones, Billy Squire, Sether, Jackyl, and many others.

Brook Langton was born in 1954 and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. Through the 1980s while

living in Nashville, Brook played guitar and steel guitar for artists such as Tom T. Hall, Marie

Osmond, Pam Tillis and others. In 2004 he started driving entertainer buses, his first company

was Ziggy’s Custom Coaches. In 2009 he started working at Four Seasons Leasing, staying there

until it sold in 2018. Since that time he has worked for On The Road Coach, Nitetrain Coach

Company, and private artists since the Pandemic.

Whoopi Goldberg, Les Claypool, Primus, Green Day, Wynonna Judd, George Clinton, and many

Dan Gillis was born in 1956 and raised in Old Orchard Beach, ME. After high school, Dan

attended the University of Maine and was a high school music teacher in Maine from 1979 –

1985. He took a leave of absence, moved to Nashville and started driving semi-trucks. His then

wife found a 1963 Golden Eagle bus for sale. Dan convinced Milo Liggett to go inspect it with

him, and Milo told him he would be crazy if he bought it. Dan bought it anyway, and soon after

had a total of 3 buses in his company named Gillies Custom Bus Leasing. Dan would drive and

Tour Manage, running this business until around 2004 or 2005. He then began driving for

Senators Coaches and Hemphill Brothers Coach Company on rare occasion. Dan is still

employed at Senators Coaches.

Some of the many artists Dan has driven are Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Steve Earle, .38 Special,

Bette Midler, Counting Crowes, John Mayer, Chicago, Michael McDonald, Huey Lewis, John

Batiste, and many others.

Dean Tubb was born in 1958 and raised in Nashville, TN. After high school, Dean attended

Middle Tennessee State College. For the last two years of his father’s career, Dean toured with

him as the merchandise manager and assisted with crew duties. He also spent countless hours

with the tour bus driver, Hoot Borden, learning to drive and maintain buses. When Ernest Tubb

stopped touring in September 1982, Dean took a position at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop. In

1983, he realized his father’s tour bus was just sitting, unused. Ernest signed the bus over to

Dean and he started using it for touring with Opry stars such as Jeannie Seely, Connie Smith, and

Lorrie Morgan. He also drove for Atlanta, Sawyer Brown, and the Oak Ridge Boys.

In 1986, he was driving the Forester Sisters for a couple of shows opening for the Charlie

Daniels Band. One evening he was requested to meet with Charlie. During the meeting, he was

asked if he would drive Charlie’s bus for a couple of weeks. Dean ended up driving for the

Charlie Daniels Band for 34 years, from October 1986 to Charlie’s passing in July 2020.

After Charlie’s passing, Dean was asked to take the buses to Hemphill Brothers Coach Company

to be sold. While there, the Hemphill Brothers made Dean a job offer. Eventually he accepted,

and Dean remained there when it sold to Dreamliner.

Gates “Gator” Moore was born in 1952 and raised at Lexington Park Naval Base, MD. In 1977,

the Osmonds. In 1981, Gates began employment at Florida Coach and became Willie Nelson’s

driver. He remained Willie’s driver until he retired in 2024. During this time he appeared in

multiple movies, television appearances and many touring adventures with Willie.

On June 7, 2025, Gates was informed that he was an Entertainer Motorcoach Hall of Fame

Inductee. Gates passed away 31 days later on July 8, 2025 while residing in Georgetown, TX.

Gaylon Moore was born in 1954 and raised in Trenton, OH. After high school. Gaylon drove

semi-trucks. He was friends with members of Gospel music group, The Tennesseans, and would

Gaylon Moore was born in 1954 and raised in Trenton, OH. After high school. Gaylon drove

semi-trucks. He was friends with members of Gospel music group, The Tennesseans, and would

drive for them in the summer. When vocalist Ernie Stewart went to work for entertainer Ricky

Skaggs, Gaylon followed. Gaylon worked for Ricky Skaggs for 3 ½ years, The Judds for 8 years,

and Garth Brooks for 10 years. In 1998 he began his own entertainer bus company, called Music

City Coach. He operated this business until he retired in 2015.

Harley Pinkerman Sr. was born in 1930 and raised in Ironton, OH. After high school he served in

the US Army from 1951 – 1957. He returned to Ironton and worked in steel mills, making

malleable iron. Harley’s wife Carole had been classmates with artist Bobby Bar

Harley Pinkerman Sr. was born in 1930 and raised in Ironton, OH. After high school he served in

the US Army from 1951 – 1957. He returned to Ironton and worked in steel mills, making

malleable iron. Harley’s wife Carole had been classmates with artist Bobby Bare all through

school, and eventually Harley became Bobby’s driver in a car as he toured. In 1966, Bobby

moved to Nashville, so Harley and Carole did as well. When Bobby Bare moved to California,

Harley remained in Nashville and began driving cars for whichever artist needed to go on tour.

He started driving artist Waylon Jennings in an RV, and eventually Waylon purchased his first

bus. In 1972, Harley started driving for the Earl Scruggs Review, which lasted until 1979. He

then started driving for Curly Jones at Stagecoach VIP. During this time, he drove for artists such

as REO Speedwagon, Kansas, and Petra. In early 1980 he was sent out with the Oak Ridge Boys,

and they hired him full-time. Harley remained their lead driver for the remainder of his career.

Harley passed away on May 15, 1998, while residing in Goodlettsville, TN.

James “Casper” DeZwarte was born in 1965 and raised in Ashton and Franklin Grove, IL. After

high school he started driving a box truck for Gospel group Morgan Cryer and band Sneak

Preview. In 1986 he began driving a semi-truck for the Gospel group DeGarmo and Key. During

periods when the tour bus would get subleased to Hemphill Brothers Coach Company, Casper

would go with the bus as the driver. Eventually this led to his full-time employment at the

Hemphill company. Casper remained there when Hemphill became Dreamliner in 2023.

James Forges Jr. was born in 1955 and raised in Barataria, LA. In the 1970’s, James began

working at a car sales location for Louie Normand, owner of entertainer coach company Genesis

drive until his passing in 2010. During his career, James drove for Dolly Parton, Bobby Brown,

Jimmie Murrell was born in 1952 and raised in Mason, OH. He started playing guitar at age 13,

and during high school he began working with Country and Bluegrass artist Jimmie Skinner.

This started around 1969, Jimmie and Skinner would travel the country in a car. Around 1975,

Jimmie began working for artist Jeannie C. Riley as lead guitar, harmonica and dobro player.

One night around 1976, the drummer / tour bus driver stopped on Monteagle Mountain, TN,

pulled the air brake, walked through the bus and went to sleep in his bunk. Sitting in the front

lounge, Jimmie realized he was only 90 miles from his Nashville home destination and stranded

until the driver woke up. He decided right then that he would learn how to drive a bus.

Immediately after this event, Jimmie began driving a 35-foot 1966 GMC.

In 1985, Jimmie began working as Band Leader and Road Manager for artist Tom T. Hall. From

1990 – 1995, he was Road Manager and Driver for the Kentucky Headhunters. Around this time,

he became a driver at Nitetrain Coach Company. Jimmie remained there when Nitetrain became

Encore and is still employed there today.

Some of the many artists Jimmie has driven are Aaron Tippin, Taylor Swift, Ricky Van Shelton,

Lenny Kravitz, Sebastian Bach, Bare Naked Ladies, Uncle Kracker, Kentucky Headhunters, Tim

Phil Dunlap was born in 1963 and raised in Cullman, AL. Phil was born into the business, his

family had formed D&D Coach. In 1984, Phil’s father, uncle, and brother Larry were all

assigned to the Iron Maiden tour. Needing another driver, Phil was recruited. He instantly loved

the job and has been driving ever since. During his career, he has driven for Constitution Coach,

Florida Custom Coach, Four Seasons, Senators, Westwood, and is currently working at Florida

Coach.

Robin Calhoun was raised in Kissimmee, FL. Being the daughter of Florida Coach owner Jack

Calhoun, it was natural that she would be an entertainer bus driver at some point in her life. Her

first tour was artist Jackson Browne in 1983. She drove for many years as a full-time driver, but

eventually she moved to an office position and began raising her family. Robin continues to

team drive to this day.

During her career, some of the many artists she has driven are Tom Petty, Bonnie Raitt, Johnny

Cash, Tina Turner, Bob Eubanks, the Scorpions, Bob Dylan, Sylvia, Wynonna Judd, and many

others.

Ronald “Round Man” Mooney was born in 1954 and raised on military bases all over the world

because his father was in the US Air Force. After completing high school in Winder, GA he

started driving semi-trucks. In 1980 he went to Augusta, GA and started working for Talm

Ronald “Round Man” Mooney was born in 1954 and raised on military bases all over the world

because his father was in the US Air Force. After completing high school in Winder, GA he

started driving semi-trucks. In 1980 he went to Augusta, GA and started working for Talmadge

Lewis, driving GMC 4104 and 4105 buses. This venture was co-located with Mountain Coach,

owned by Eldridge Fox. Ron soon started working at Mountain Coach and eventually moved to

Nitetrain Coach Company. He retired from driving in 2020 due to the Covid Pandemic.

Some of the many artists Ron drove during his career are Emmy Lou Harris, the Kingsmen, New

Edition, Lacy J. Dalton, BJ Thomas, the Temptations, Cats, Nine Inch Nails, Blind Melon,

Lenny Kravitz, Montgomery Gentry, Billy Ray Cyrus, 3 Dog Night, Taylor Swift, the Police,

Bill Anderson, Andy Williams, WWE, Luther Vandros, Quiet Riot, and many others.

grocery store as a meat cutter for 12 years. Meanwhile, he performed and traveled with his

Terry Ford was born in 1957 and raised in Morristown, TN. After high school he worked in a

grocery store as a meat cutter for 12 years. Meanwhile, he performed and traveled with his

family The Ford Family was a local Gospel Music group, and Terry played bass. They initially

owned a 1957 GMC 4104 and later purchased a 1966 Eagle. In 1985 he began driving charter

buses, and in 1987 Terry began driving for the Southern Gospel trio, The Talleys. Terry would

sublease The Talleys bus to the Hemphill Brothers Coach Company. This led to full-time

employment at that company in January 1990. Terry remained with Hemphill Brothers and

continued when it became Dreamliner. In 2024 he became semi-retired. During his career he was

peer-voted Driver of the Year 5 times between 2004 and 2022, and in 2023 he won the Live

Productions Pinnacle Award US Coach Driver.

Luther Vandros, Dixie Chicks, Cher, The Band Perry, Kenny Chesney, and many others.

Marines from 1966 – 1968 in Motor Transport. After military service Tony owned a gas station

drive entertainer buses to Nashville. Around 1978 Tony was working at Florida Coach as a full-

time driver.

While still employed at Florida Coach, Tony started driving for entertainer Willie Nelson in

1983. Remaining here for the next 40 years, Tony retired in 2023. Prior to working with Willie

Nelson, some of the many artists Tony drove were Waylon Jennings, Earth, Wind & Fire,

Marvin Gaye, Moody Blues, Kris Kristofferson, Queen, Foreigner, Tom Petty, Peter Frampton,

and many others.

As of this writing, Tony resides in St Cloud, FL.
